What steps must I follow to send my first postcard?
- Install the Postcard Star App on your device.
- Complete the one step registration process.
- Select a stored photograph or use the phone's camera.
- Enter the recipient's address or select it from your Contacts.
- Enter a message.
- Tap "Send".
What does it mean when my Blackberry asks "Would you like to grant Postcard Star Trusted Application status?"
This is a routine message displayed after a new app is installed on a Blackberry phone. It indicates that the phone needs you to confirm that you intended to download and run the Postcard Star App. You should answer "Yes".
What does it mean when my Blackberry warns "You are attempting to open a secure connection, but the server's certificate is not trusted."
Celltography, LLC, the publisher of Postcard Star, uses SSL session encryption to protect the transfer of sensitive data between your phone and our servers. Blackberry smartphones display this message when a phone is not familiar with an app's security certificate. The Postcard Star App uses a valid security certificate that you can trust.
Do you put a stamp on the postcard?
Each postcard is printed and mailed with first class postage. Your postcard enters the US Mail with an Indicia. Read about an Indicia here. No stamp is affixed.

My postcard was never delivered. What happened?
The two most common causes of undelivered postcards are a) a mistake was made when entering the recipient's address on the postcard. Please don't forget Apartment Numbers! or b) the recipient's address has changed. We usually know which postcards are not delivered because undeliverable postcards are returned to our corporate mailing address by the USPS within a few weeks. If you are missing a postcard please let us know so we can help figure out where the stray card is!

How do I find a list of the postcards that I have sent (mailed) or have saved?
Visit this page for a full explanation. Go to the CARDS screen of the Postcard Star App and tap the button "All/Sent/Not Sent/Pending".
Why are you asking me for a "Sender Name"?
We use your first and last names in the return address of each postcard you send.
How many characters can a message accommodate?
Your postcard's message can fit approximately 14 rows of 24 characters per row (total of about 330 characters). We print with 13pt Gothic font.
How do the Postcard Star postcards look when they are printed?
Your photograph is printed on heavy coated-cardstock 6 inches x 4.25 inches. Your photograph will look as good as it does on your device's screen. A thin white strip is printed as a border around your image.
What is the deadline for uploading postcards with the Postcard Star App in order to have them printed and mailed the next business day?
Postcards uploaded to Celltography.com by 11PM EST (8PM PST) will be printed, stamped and entered into the US mail with First-Class postage the next business day.
How much time does it take for a postcard to be uploaded off my device to Celltography?
The time required to upload your postcard varies and depends upon the image size and type of network connection. Typically 60 seconds to 90 seconds are required per postcard uploaded via the 3G telephone network whereas just 45 seconds are required to upload via a strong wi fi connection.
What is a Quick Text and how do I create and edit them?
The Postcard Star App comes preloaded with a few commonly used phrases that you can easily insert into your postcard messages without typing such as "Wish you were here". Each user is able to create and store their own set of Quick Text messages. You can enter and store a Quick Text Message while you are creating a postcard or via the Profile menu.
How do I send a postcard to a recipient NOT in my Contacts List?
On the “To Address” page, Tap the screen and the Keypad will open so you can type in the address.
How do I send a postcard to a recipient in my Contacts List?
On the “To Address” page, Tap the “+” icon near the top of the screen to open your Contacts. Find your recipient and then Tap the address you wish to use. Don’t forget to include the recipient’s country.
What is the best way to send the same card to various recipients?
You can manage your postcards as you would emails in your inbox. On the “Cards” screen, view the cards already sent. Tap on the card you wish to send again and then Tap the “Copy” button in the upper-right corner. Next insert a new recipient address.
How do I review the postcards that I have sent, stored as Draft or tried unsuccessfully to send?
On the "Cards" page you can sort postcards by date, recipient name, card name and whether or not they have been sent.
Can I edit and resend a postcard that I have already mailed?
Yes, view your sent cards on the “Cards” page and then tap on any card to begin editing it.
Do I need to visit your web site to register or send postcards?
No! You do not need to visit our website at anytime in order to use and enjoy Postcard Star App; this feature makes Postcard Star especially valuable while you are travelling.
Can I create a postcard with a photograph on my computer and not on my iTouch or iPhone?
Yes. Apple devices: First you must transfer the image to your portable device. Launch iTunes on your computer then transfer images to your mobile device with the iTunes sync function. Once you see the photographs in your Camera Roll you are ready to launch the Postcard Star App and use the photographs stored on your device in any postcard that you create. If you are running Postcard Star on your Blackberry smartphone, you must transfer the image to your Blackberry via email and then store it on your phone. Once you see the image on your Blackberry you are ready to launch the Postcard Star App and use the photographs stored on your device.
How do I buy more credits so I can send more postcards?
You can only purchase credits from within the app. All transactions are securely processed for us by Paypal. One credit is required for a postcard to be sent anywhere in the USA and two credits for all international postcards. At this time each credit costs just $1.25. A free credit is supplied with each version of the Postcard Star App!
Can I pay for just one credit at a time?
Yes. There is no need to buy and store credits. You may pay for one credit at a time or for your convenience purchase credits in advance.
Is my credit card data safe?
Credit card transactions are processed and verified by PayPal in real time. We do not store credit card data on our servers. You may pay with a credit card or use your Paypal credentials within the iPhone App. We do not sell credits over the telephone.
Do I have to resubmit my credit card data each time I send a new postcard or buy more credits?
No, PayPal stores your credit card data on our behalf. We offer you a chance to reuse your last credit card during each transaction - we named this "Pay As You Go".
How do I review the history of my credits bought and used?
Tap the "Credits" icon at the bottom of your device's screen then Tap "History". You need to have a network connection to have current data displayed. If you are out-of-network you might see a zero credit balance and no history data.
Why is the number of credits incorrectly listed in my account as zero?
If you do not have network access we cannot display your current credit balance.
What does it mean when I get an error message that there is a “Network Error”?
Your portable device is connected to a network. Fortunately the Postcard Star App will allow you to create postcards while you have no network connection. Once you have created a postcard you can save it on your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or Blackberry until you are back on the network and able to submit it to Celltography.
Can I save and then later send a postcard that I created when network access was not available such as while on a plane?
Yes. Most features and functions of the Postcard Star App will work while out of network except for Purchasing Credits and Sending a postcard. You can create postcards anywhere at any time.
How do you know which account is mine if you don't require that I go through a typical registration process?
We don't need to know your mother's maiden name or secret question because we automatically associate your account with your mobile device. Your unique "Device id" is communicated to the Celltography.com servers during registration and then associated with your account number.
What return address is printed on the postcard?
Your "Sender Name" along with the Celltography corporate mailing address. Therefore the form of the return address is Sender Name, PO Box 1556, Hollis, NH 03049 USA
Can I change the Sender Name associated with my account?
Yes. Go to the Settings screen to edit these items. Keep in mind your first and last names are used in the return address of your postcards.
Is there a limit to what I can include on my postcard?
Each postcard can be readily tracked back to its sender. Each sender is solely responsible for the content of each card that is created and sent from their iPhone or iPod Touch. Users may not use language that is threatening, abusive or criminal. Users are not permitted to transmit images or information that would violate rights of others or which violates the policies and regulations of the US Mail or the mail system of any country that handles their postcard.
